# Axkid

> Axkid is a Swedish company that designs and sells child car seats, specialising in extended rear-facing seats for children from birth up to about 7 years (125 cm), plus boosters and accessories. Axkid AB was founded in 2009 and is based in Mölndal (Gothenburg), Sweden. It sells direct to consumers through market-specific web stores on axkid.com and through retailers and distributors.

**How this site is organised (markets and languages).** axkid.com is one domain with a separate store for each market. The first URL path segment identifies the **market** (country or region), not only the language:

- Each market has its own language, currency, prices, product range, shipping terms, and in some cases its own returns and warranty terms. When answering a question about price, availability, delivery or returns, use the pages for the user's country.
- URL slugs are translated per market (e.g. `/car-seats/` in English, `/sv/bilbarnstolar/` in Swedish, `/de/kindersitze/` in German). Do not build localised URLs by adding a prefix to an English path. Start from the market's home page or category page listed below.
- The root with no prefix (`https://axkid.com/`) is the **international English store**. Prices are in EUR, it ships from Sweden to around 47 countries, and it's the default for countries without their own store. The UK and Ireland also use English but have their own stores.
- **USA and Canada** have a separate, smaller range (currently One 3 and Up) that's certified for North America, with specs in lb/in. European specs, approvals (UN R129 / i-Size) and policies on this domain do not apply to US or Canadian products, and the other way round.
- Product manuals for all languages are in one shared library: https://axkid.com/manuals/
- The seller named in the international store's terms is Axkid AB, Göteborgsvägen 94, 431 37 Mölndal, Sweden.
