Why safety first?
At Axkid, safety is not a feature, it’s our foundation. From our very first car seat, our mission has been clear: to protect children with solutions that go further than minimum requirements.
Guided by Swedish safety traditions, we design seats that keep children rear-facing for as long as possible, offering proven protection for the head, neck, and spine.
Every Axkid seat is tested far beyond regulations, with higher forces, larger dummies, and real-world crash scenarios. Independent programs such as ADAC and the Swedish Plus Test confirm our results, proving that “Safety First” is more than a statement, it is a promise.

R129. The European Child Safety Regulation
R129 is the latest European regulation for child car seats, setting new standards for crash protection, side-impact testing, and height-based selection. It includes the i-Size system for ISOFIX installation, helping parents choose seats that fit safely and correct
ADAC. Europe’s independent crash test
The ADAC test is one of Europe’s most trusted independent crash tests for child car seats. Together with organisations such as Stiftung Warentest, it evaluates safety, usability, comfort, and chemical content far beyond legal requirements.

Rear-Facing safety proven by the Swedish Plus Test
At Axkid, we carry this tradition forward so children can travel rear-facing for as long as possible, up to 7 years old in some of our car seats. This commitment is also reflected in our success in the [Swedish Plus Test], the toughest car seat crash test in the world.
Overtesting. Where safety goes beyond the standard
Passing a regulation is just the beginning. Through Axkid Overtesting, we push our seats beyond legal limits to prove their performance in extreme, unpredictable conditions. Larger crash dummies, misuse testing, and high-stress impacts ensure our seats protect children, not just in the lab, but in real life.
