For customers in North America, Axkid™ operates through its U.S. subsidiary Axkid Inc., headquartered at 4550 Linden Hill Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808, United States. References to “Axkid™” in this policy may include Axkid AB, Axkid Inc., and any relevant subsidiaries as applicable.

Although reasonable care has been taken to ensure the accuracy and security of the information on this Site, the Site and its content are provided “as is.” Axkid™ shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or other damages arising from your use of the Site or any linked website, including but not limited to loss of profits, business interruption, data loss, or other harm, even if Axkid™ has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Any photos, software, or other intellectual property available for download from the Site (the “Axkid™ IP”) are copyrighted works of Axkid™ and/or its licensors. Use of such materials is governed by the applicable end-user license agreement, if any. Unless otherwise stated, such materials are provided solely for end-user purposes and may not be reproduced, redistributed, or used for commercial purposes. Axkid™ disclaims all warranties regarding Axkid™ IP, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

Product images are for illustrative purposes and may differ from real product appearance. Technical specifications serve informational purposes and may change without notice. Binding specifications are found only in the official product manual. No information on the Site constitutes an offer, solicitation, or legal act; all content is descriptive.

4. Which cookies do we use?

Axkid™ uses Cookiebot to manage cookie categories, consent, and detailed cookie listings. Cookiebot automatically scans the Site and displays all cookies currently in use, along with: cookie name, provider, purpose, expiry/lifespan, and category (necessary, preferences, statistics, marketing).

The full and always-updated cookie list is available through the Cookiebot consent banner displayed on the Site. You may adjust or withdraw your consent at any time via the “Manage consent” button.

5. Privacy (Controller, processing, transfers, marketing)

Controller

Axkid™ is the data controller for personal data collected via the Site. This means Axkid™ determines the purposes and means of processing.

What we collect (examples)

  • Name, address, phone number, email
  • Order and delivery information
  • Browser, device, and session data
  • IP address and cookie identifiers
  • Information submitted through forms, returns, or customer support
  • Interaction with Axkid™ channels on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, or X (Twitter)

How we collect it

We collect personal data when you: sign up for newsletters or promotional lists; submit inquiries or support requests; participate in surveys or competitions; browse or interact with the Site; engage with Axkid™ on social media; or complete a purchase.

Marketing & CASL compliance

We will only send you commercial electronic messages (such as newsletters, promotions, or SMS) if you have given us consent to do so or where another exception under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) applies. Every marketing message we send will identify Axkid as the sender, provide contact information, and include a simple, no-cost unsubscribe mechanism. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in our messages or by contacting info@axkid.com. We retain records of when and how consent was obtained so we can demonstrate compliance with CASL and privacy laws.

International transfers & safeguards

Personal data may be processed or stored in Canada, the United States, Sweden, or other jurisdictions. When transfers occur, Axkid™ implements reasonable safeguards such as contractual clauses, encryption, access controls, and due-diligence with sub processors to protect your data.

6. Your Rights (access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, withdraw consent)

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information; request deletion of personal data (subject to legal or contractual retention obligations); request restriction of processing; and request portability of your personal data.

How to make a request

To exercise your rights, contact us (see Contact section) and include sufficient information to allow us to locate your records (for example: name, email, order number). To prevent fraudulent access we may require proof of identity.

We will respond to access and other valid rights requests within 30 days of receipt. If we require more time, we will notify you of the extension and the reasons for it. An extension of up to an additional 30 days is accepted in some circumstances.

If we refuse all or part of a request we will explain the reasons and provide information on how to make a complaint to the regulator.

7. Breach notification

If Axkid™ becomes aware of a breach of security safeguards involving personal information that creates a real risk of significant harm to an individual, we will notify affected individuals as soon as feasible and will report the breach. We will maintain a record of all breaches and the steps taken in response, and will cooperate with any regulator investigation. 

8. Retention & disposal

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations. Typical retention periods:

  • Order and delivery records (sales invoices, shipment records): 7 years (to comply with financial and tax recordkeeping obligations).
  • Customer account data: while account is active + 2 years after last activity.
  • Marketing lists and consent records: until consent is withdrawn + 1 year to preserve an audit trail.
  • Cookie and analytics identifiers: session cookies are deleted at end of session; persistent analytics/marketing cookies follow the expiry shown in Cookiebot (commonly up to 13–24 months depending on provider); consent records retained to ensure preferences are respected.
    When personal information is no longer required, we will securely destroy, delete, or anonymize it.

9. Children and minors

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate parental or guardian consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
Parents or guardians who wish to access, correct, or request deletion of information about their child should contact us at info@axkid.com.

10. Automated decision-making & profiling

We may use automated technologies (for example: analytics, advertising platform audiences, and recommendation engines) to profile behavior and provide personalized content or product recommendations. If you are concerned about automated processing, contact our Support.
