Changing from a rear-facing car seat to a forward-facing high back booster seat
At Axkid we recommend changing from a rear-facing car seat to a forward-facing high back booster seat later than the regulations state. It is difficult to say exactly when your child will change from a rear-facing to a forward-facing car seat. Up to about 6-7 years of age, children should face backwards, but it is mainly the child’s height that determines when it is time for the child to forward-face. We recommend that the switch to forward-facing travel takes place once the child exceeds 125cm. When your child has outgrown a rear-facing car seat, but has not yet reached the optimal height for the car’s three-point seat belt, it is time to change to a forward-facing high back booster seat.
A high back booster seat is equipped with a belt adjuster that ensures the seat belt is correctly positioned on the child.
