Axkid Background  

The story of Axkid begins with Tony Qvist and Tony Broberg, the vision was to enhance child safety in cars through innovative and robust solutions. In 2009, Axkid was founded in Gothenburg, Sweden. Qvist and Broberg worked until 2011 before releasing Axkid’s first car seat, setting the stage for a company that would become synonymous with child safety. 

The mission was to develop new safety technologies and educate the public on the importance of rear-facing car seats, ensuring that children travel safe and comfortably to bring safety and peace of mind to families worldwide.  

This vision has guided Axkid’s development and growth over the past 15 years, leading to the introduction of award-winning products and a reputation for excellence in child safety. 

Since Axkid was founded in 2009, we have consistently pushed the boundaries of child car seat safety and design, and numerous milestones have been achieved on our journey to become a market leader in child safety. Here are some key milestones.   

A decade of perfecting sustainable safety and comfort 

Our car seats have been refined over the years into two, multi-award-winning platforms: One™ and Minikid™. Engineered to adapt as a child grows, our seats reduce the necessity for replacements, promote economic and environmental sustainability, while offering maximum safety and comfort. Each platform is carefully designed to accommodate various heights and weights, ensuring an ideal fit for every child, car, and lifestyle.
