Installing attachment loops or lower tether anchorages (LTA) 

What are lower tether anchorages (LTA)/attachment loops? 

If your car is not equipped with lower tether anchorages (LTA), you will need Axkid’s Attachment Loops for the installation of your rear-facing car seat. By creating a secure anchorage point under your vehicle’s front seat rails, these loops allow for a faster, easier, and more stable installation of rear facing car seats using tether straps. Axkid´s Attachment Loops come in three different lengths 70mm, 120mm and 160mm, depending on the length of the seat rail of your vehicle.

Installing attachment loops under the passenger seat (car seat rail) step-by-step.  

You can attach the installation loops to either the front or rear of the car seat rail. Simply remove the screw or bolt securing the seat rail to the floor at your chosen location. For rear-facing car seats in the backseat, use the screw at the rear of the seat rail. If installing in the front seat, use the front rail screw for the most secure fit and follow the installation steps. 

Installation steps: 

1. Identify the seat rail: 
   The seat rail is located near the floor of your vehicle and is the part that allows the seat to slide forward and backward.  
2. Remove the screw inside the seat rail: 
   The attachment loop will be installed in between the seat rail and the floor of the car.  
3. Aligning attachment loop with screw hole: 
   Push the attachment loop under the seat rail and floor of the car aligning it with the screw hole. Or align the LTA with the screw hole on top of the seat rail.  
4. Fasten the attachment loop: 
   Reinsert the seat rail screw and tighten it securely to fasten the attachment loop in place. Ensure it is firmly secured to prevent movement. 
5. Attach lower tether (LT) Minikid 4 Pro or Movekid: 
   Guide the LT of your Minikid 4 Pro or Movekid through the installed attachment loops, hook the LT on the back of the car seat, ensuring a secure fit. For detailed installation instructions, please follow the Minikid 4 Pro or Movekid installaion guide.  
6. Attach lower tether with retractor (LT) Minikid 4 Max or Minikid 4: 
   Pull the LT from the back of the car seat and attach it to the attachment loop installed. For step-by-step instructions, refer to the Minikid 4 Max or Minikid 4 installation guide. 
7. Attach lower tether anchorage straps (LTAS): 
   Thread the LTAS through the attachment loop and secure it before installing car seats with LT. For detailed instructions, refer to the LTAS installation guide. You can purchase LTAS here
8. Ensure a secure installation:  
   Double-check the installation following your car seat’s instruction manual.
