If our testing reveals something that doesn’t fully meet our own requirements, we take it seriously. Even when legal requirements are met, we believe in taking responsibility, keeping families informed and taking action when needed.
Minikid Core
Axkid has initiated a voluntary recall of affected Minikid Core car seats after later testing identified deviations from our own stringent safety standards.
Minikid Core continues to meet all applicable legal requirements. Based on our current safety assessment, affected car seats can continue to be used until the replacement arrives.

If your Minikid Core is affected by the voluntary recall, please complete the form below with your contact details and Car Seat ID to request a free replacement.
All affected seats will be replaced with an Axkid Minikid 4 Pro at no additional cost.
This also applies if you purchased your car seat from a retailer. Axkid will handle the replacement process directly with you.

Where to find your Car Seat ID
Your Car Seat ID can be found at the bottom of the product label and starts with the letter “E9”. Please make sure to enter the Car Seat ID, not the Sales number.

Frequently asked questions
During recent testing, Axkid became aware of a test result that revealed a deviation. Although the Minikid Core meets all applicable legal requirements, the result did not meet Axkid’s own stringent safety standards. As a precautionary measure, we have therefore decided to initiate a voluntary recall and replace the affected car seats.
A voluntary recall means that Axkid has taken the precautionary decision to recall and replace the affected product. The recall was initiated by Axkid and was not ordered by a regulatory authority.
The Minikid Core meets all applicable legal safety requirements. However, because the identified test result did not meet Axkid’s own stringent safety standards, we have decided to recall and replace the affected car seats as a precautionary measure.
The Minikid Core has passed all applicable legal regulatory tests and complies with the requirements of UN Regulation No. 129 (R129). The voluntary recall relates to a result from Axkid’s own testing protocol, which goes beyond the regulatory requirements.
As part of this voluntary recall, Axkid is offering a replacement product.
No. The deviation relates only to the Minikid Core. No other Axkid models are included in this recall.
Crash tests may use different impact pulses, timings, speeds and test configurations. This means that they assess a car seat’s performance under different conditions.
