Step-by-Step Guide: Installing your Minikid 4
This easy-to-follow guide will help you install the Axkid Minikid 4 correctly and safely. Just follow the steps below to make sure your car seat is securely fitted and ready for use.

Tether Straps
Important: To install the Axkid Minikid 4, the seat’s tether straps need to be attached either to the vehicle’s built-in anchorage loops or to Axkid tether straps that are secured to the seat rails. Some cars come with these loops already installed. If your vehicle does not have anchorage loops, additional anchor points may be required. Please refer to our guide on anchorage loops and tether straps for more information.
Installation guide for Axkid Minikid 4
Begin by opening the seat cover using the zipper marked with number 1.
Use the recline adjustment lever to set the correct angle. Position the car seat so that the base alignment mark (the vertical line) is level with the edge of your vehicle seat. This ensures correct installation and optimal positioning.
Open the green belt clamp on the car seat. Thread the vehicle’s three-point seatbelt through the green-marked belt path on one side, across the clamp, and out through the opposite side. Buckle the seatbelt into the vehicle’s belt buckle, pull it tight, and then close the green belt clamp securely. Finally, zip the cover back over the belt clamp.
Pull down the tether straps from the back of the car seat and hook them onto the anchorage points—either pre-installed loops or underfloor tether straps. Press down on the backrest and gently rock the seat to ensure it’s firmly secured.
Adjust the support leg until it stands firmly against the vehicle floor. If needed, slightly lift the seat to allow the leg to lock properly into place.
Remove the plastic cover from the ASIP attachment point on the side of the car seat. Slide the ASIP unit into place until it clicks and locks securely. ASIP is a key safety feature that provides added protection in the event of a side impact.
