What is the ESG transparency award?
The ESG transparency award was established by EUPD research to evaluate how companies disclose environmental, social and governance information. The assessment covers five clusters: transparency, environment, social, governance and regulatory landscape. Unlike awards that focus only on environmental metrics, this recognition emphasizes traceability, structure and accountability in reporting. It highlights organizations that share both achievements and areas for improvement.

Key practices that made the difference
Several actions contributed to our high rating:
Conducting life cycle assessments to measure and reduce product emissions.
While overall emissions have grown with sales, emissions intensity is declining, meaning that we emit less CO2 per produced product over the years.
Transitioning to recycled textiles and removing unnecessary electronics from products. 26 percent of materials used in our products are recycled, and recycled textiles are now standard in several product lines.
Installing solar panels at our China site to move toward renewable energy. This will cover annual electricity use starting in 2025. We also encourage suppliers to invest in renewable energy.
Launching a sustainability hub for employee training and engagement.
Our internal code of conduct and supplier code of conduct ensure respect for human rights, fair remuneration and safe working conditions. Regular audits and supplier surveys support continuous improvement.
We also contribute to community initiatives through internships, circular economy research and partnerships such as donations to the Swedish breast cancer association. Our child and safety conference brings together global experts to advance child traffic safety standards.
Reporting achievements and challenges openly, including restatements for improved accuracy.
Looking ahead, we aim to follow the Paris agreement level of emissions and although this is challenging in a growing company, we are committed to long-term goals of emission reduction. This ambition is supported by investments in renewable energy, supply chain decarbonization and circular business models.

“We extend our sincere congratulations to Axkid AB for achieving the Leading status at the ESG Transparency Award 2025, recognizing their exceptional dedication to transparent communication. We are particularly impressed by their commitment to building a circular business model and their tangible climate efforts, including the implementation of recycled textiles across many products and the pursuit of operational climate neutrality.”
